COLUMBUS, Ohio – Jaclyn Lee, a rising senior on the Ohio State women’s golf team, will be participating in the 2018 Meijer LPGA Classic starting Thursday at Blythefield Country Club in Grand Rapids, Mich. Lee, along with Michigan State’s Sarah Burnham and Allyson Geer, will be representing the Big Ten after earning sponsorship exemptions to the tournament. Lee, who’s paired with Kim Kaufman and Laura Diaz, will tee off at 1:43 p.m. ET Thursday off the 10th tee at Blythefield.

A second team WGCA All-American, first team All-Big Ten pick and medalist of the 2018 Big Ten Championships, Lee’s 71.14 scoring average was 11th nationally this season, breaking Allison Hanna’s previous-best of 72.58 by a Buckeye set in 2003-04. Lee just concluded the 2017-18 campaign with a tie for fifth at the NCAA Championships, opening with consecutive even-par 72 scores, followed by a third-round 6-under 66 and a 2-over 74 in the final round to tie with Florida State’s Morgan Metraux at 284 for the week.

Of Lee’s 35 rounds played this season, 33.5 counted as she completed the season 14 strokes below par. Lee notched 10 rounds in the 60’s, 17 under par and five at even-par. In her 12 events, Lee won three of them, tallied six Top 5 finishes, seven Top 10’s and placed in the Top 25 nine times.

Lee tied for the fifth-lowest round nationally, doing so twice when she shot a first- and final-round 64 at the Westbrook Spring Invitational. She was seventh nationally in par-3 scoring at 3.00 and 11th in par-5 scoring at 4.68 while tying for the fourth-most eagles with seven and 11th-most birdies with 115.
